Why should I choose asphalt instead of concrete for my driveway?

Asphalt is far more affordable and is much easier and cheaper to repair if cracks or potholes form. Asphalt also has a shorter curing time and holds up better under heavy loads and temperature swings.

Will a paved driveway add value to my property?

If you currently have a gravel drive, installing an asphalt driveway will usually add AT LEAST the cost the installation to your property value. In most cases you’re going to get considerably more in return.

What are asphalt overlays?

An asphalt overlay is an alternative to complete repaving.  For an overlay we pour and compact a new layer of asphalt onto your existing driveway or parking lot. An asphalt overlay is more affordable than complete repaving.

How does Sealcoating protect my pavement?

Sealcoating prevents the oxidation and erosion of the top layer of asphalt.  Sealcoating along with crack filling seals the small cracks that can turn into large cracks and prevents water from seeping down to the base material. Besides protection, sealcoating provides an attractive black surface that makes your driveway look new.

What’s the difference between cold mix and hot mix asphalt?
Hot mix asphalt is the type used by professional asphalt contractors because it provides better, longer-lasting results.

Cold mix asphalt is a cheaper, temporary fix for potholes. If you do patch a pothole with cold mix asphalt, you will likely want to schedule professional repair in the near future so the damage can be properly patched with hot mix asphalt.

How long will my asphalt driveway last?

If installed correctly, asphalt driveways can last up to 20 years or more. Besides installation, the two main factors that determine your driveway’s lifespan are average weather conditions and weight of vehicles driven on it.
